Win the Weekend

Heading to East Rutherford, NJ for a gameday? Dive into our breakdown of what you should do for your upcoming trip.
Go Big Blue… The New York Giants are a team steeped in tradition and toughness. I don’t know who’s tougher, from legendary players like Lawrence Taylor to Tom Coughlin and his bloody cheeks during that Packers game. The Giants are simply Patriot Killers (not an Aaron Hernandez reference, we promise) with iconic moments like the ‘Helmet Catch’ in Super Bowl XLII. Come for the football, stay for the city, and leave with a story that’ll make your friends blue with envy!

Gameday

The New York Giants, established in 1925, are one of the oldest teams in the NFL with a storied history of success. They have won multiple NFL championships, including four Super Bowl titles (Super Bowl XXI, XXV, XLII, and XLVI). The team has been home to some of the greatest players in NFL history, such as Lawrence Taylor, who revolutionized the linebacker position. The Giants are known for their fierce rivalries, especially with the Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys. Throughout their history, the Giants have been known for their strong defensive play and a never-say-die attitude, earning them the nickname “Big Blue.”

The Stadium

Getting Started

MetLife Stadium, located in East Rutherford, New Jersey, is a modern marvel and home to both the New York Giants and New York Jets. Since opening in 2010, the stadium has seen its fair share of history, mostly from the Giants. The stadium underwent significant renovations in 2017, enhancing the fan experience with new seating options and upgraded amenities. MetLife Stadium replaced Giants Stadium, which also stood on the same site within the Meadowlands Sports Complex. One of the most unique aspects of MetLife Stadium is its massive size, seating over 82,000 fans, making it one of the largest stadiums in the NFL. The stadium is easily accessible from Manhattan via rail. Fans can take the NJ Transit train from Penn Station to Secaucus Junction, where they can transfer to the Meadowlands Rail Line. From their early days at the Polo Grounds to more than 15 years at Yankees Stadium in the 1950’s and 1960’s, the Giants have played on hallowed grounds.
