Gameday

The Houston Texans, established in 2002, brought professional football back to Houston after a five-year absence. This gap was created by the traitor Bud Adams, who controversially moved the team to Tennessee in 1997. After a terrible stint with David Carr, the Texans worked to build a competitive team, winning their first division title in 2011. Over the years, they’ve developed a fierce rivalry with the Indianapolis Colts and made multiple playoff appearances. Recently, they hit reset with Deshaun Watson’s infatuation with massages. We’ll see how CJ Stroud does at the helm, but early signs are upbeat.

NRG Stadium is a modern marvel situated in the heart of Houston, Texas. With a seating capacity of over 72,000, it was the first NFL facility to feature a retractable roof, allowing for both open-air and climate-controlled game days. This versatility, combined with state-of-the-art amenities and a vibrant atmosphere, makes NRG Stadium a top-tier venue for not only football games but also concerts, Final Fours, and the amainzg Houston Rodeo. NRG Stadium has been the site of numerous historic games such as Super Bowl LI in 2017, hosted at NRG Stadium, where the New England Patriots staged an incredible comeback (28-3!) to defeat the Atlanta Falcons in the first-ever Super Bowl to go into overtime. NRG dwarfs the next door 8th Wonder of the World, the Houston Astrodome. You truly have to see the size and scale differences in these two historic venues.
