Win the Weekend

Heading to Madison, Wisconsin for a gameday? Dive into our breakdown of what you should do for your upcoming trip.
Hold onto your cheeseheads! We’re making a run for Madison, Wisconsin, home to the University of Wisconsin-Madison. This beloved Badger land, established in 1848, sits prettily between two lakes and is packed with historic buildings like Bascom Hall, all adding to its rustic charm. Badger fans converge on State Street for deep-fried cheese curds, brats, Spotted Cow, and side cars of Miller Lite.

Gameday

Wisconsin football is synonymous with hard-nosed, smash-mouth play, and it all started back in 1889. The Badgers have a storied history with countless bowl appearances and several Rose Bowl victories. Legendary names like Barry Alvarez and Ron Dayne are forever etched in Badger lore, and under current coach Paul Chryst, Wisconsin has maintained its status as a dominant force in the Big Ten.

The Stadium

Stadium History

Camp Randall Stadium, built in 1917, is a historic jewel of college football and the oldest stadium in the Big Ten. From its breathtaking “Fifth Quarter” performances by the UW Marching Band to the shaking stands during the tradition of “Jump Around” at the end of the third quarter, this stadium embodies the spirit of Wisconsin. It’s also been the site of many iconic games, including the 2010 victory over #1 ranked Ohio State, where the sea of red stormed the field, making it an unforgettable night in Madison.
