Heading to Corvallis, Oregon for a gameday? Dive into our breakdown of what you should do for your upcoming trip.
Tracing its roots back to 1868, Oregon State is a public research university that shines in programs like forestry, marine sciences, and engineering. The campus is an arboretum, boasting more than 4,000 trees, so prepare for a serious case of tree-hugger’s delight. Corvallis, with its craft breweries, wineries, and charming cafes, is a quintessential college town, wrapped in natural beauty and a laid-back lifestyle. It’s got a small town feel with big city amenities, and that’s what makes it unique. While the downtown area offers an array of local boutiques and dining options, Corvallis doesn’t have a traditional “bar district,” but it compensates with its friendly, welcoming vibe and eclectic mix of local hangouts.

Gameday

Oregon State Beavers’ football history stretches back to 1893, weaving a rich tapestry of tradition and pride. Over the years, the Beavers have produced standouts such as Terry Baker, the first player west of Texas to win the Heisman Trophy. Despite periods of struggle, the Beavers’ resilience and die-hard fan base have cemented their place in the annals of college football.

The Stadium

Stadium History

Reser Stadium, the heartbeat of Beavers’ football. Opening its gates in 1953, the stadium has seen multiple expansions to accommodate the passionate Beaver Nation, with its latest renovation in 2007 bringing its capacity to over 45,000. The stadium has been a witness to some of the most memorable moments in Beaver football, like the legendary “Giant Killers” game in 1967 when OSU, unranked, upset #1 USC.
