Win the Weekend

Heading to Atlanta, Georgia for a gameday? Dive into our breakdown of what you should do for your upcoming trip.
Located just West of Midtown Atlanta, Georgia Tech combines academic excellence, rich history, and the energy of a bustling city. Established in 1885, the university is renowned for its world-class engineering programs, along with strong offerings in computer science and design. The urban campus, with its striking Tech Tower and picturesque green spaces, provides an inspiring backdrop for student life. Atlanta itself offers a unique blend of southern charm and big-city amenities, including its vibrant cultural scene, lush parks, and booming tech industry. When it’s time to unwind, head to the lively Midtown neighborhood or nearby Atlantic Station, where you’ll find an array of student hangouts, popular eateries, and entertainment venues.

Gameday

To Hell with Georgia, A good game, means you hear the steam whistle at the end of the game. If you’re looking for a unique game to attend, Homecoming offers the Ramblin’ Wreck Parade. Before the game is a unique parade of classic cars and engineering oddities. The Ramblin’ Wreck is amazing homage to Floyd Field, a Georgia Tech professor and automotive argonaut who drove from Atlanta to Oregon right after WW1 in a Ford Model T. It took him five weeks in each direction on unmarked roads and wagon trails.

The band lines up in the tunnel under the stadium and sings “To HELL with georgia!”

Wrambling Reck – A 1930 Ford Model A that drives on to the field welcoming the team.

Steam whistle when the team scores or after a game where the team wins.

Georgia Tech’s band playing the “You’ve said it all” jingle from the 1970s Budweiser commercial between the third and fourth quarter.  The lovable song replaced Dixie, which had strong ties to Southern connotations.
