The Stadium

Stadium History

Nippert Stadium is one of the oldest college football stadiums, dating back to 1915. It might be nestled right in the heart of campus, but don’t let its location fool you. It’s got an atmosphere that rivals the biggest collegiate stadiums in the country. Its 2015 renovation boosted its status, with improved fan amenities and an expanded capacity. Nippert has been the stage for unforgettable plays, including the thrilling 2009 victory over Pittsburgh that clinched a spot in the Sugar Bowl.
