Win the Weekend

Heading to Orlando, Florida for a gameday? Dive into our breakdown of what you should do for your upcoming trip.
Orlando, Florida isn’t just home to the Mouse. It’s where the University of Central Florida (UCF), the largest university by undergraduate enrollment in the nation, calls home. Founded in 1963 as a technology school for the space age, UCF is now known for its comprehensive research and innovation, vibrant Greek life, and spirited athletics. UCF’s campus radiates modern flair, complete with its own lazy river at the ‘R&R’ recreation complex. But it’s not all study and no play here, game days at UCF are a sight to behold. Tailgating, or as UCF calls it, “Hometown Huddles,” takes place at Memory Mall, where black and gold reign supreme.

Gameday

UCF Football, relatively young and established in 1979, has shown it’s not about how long you’ve been in the game, but how you play it. The Knights have enjoyed impressive success, including an undefeated season and Peach Bowl victory in 2017 under coach Scott Frost. With Gus Malzahn now at the helm, the Knights continue to build their legacy as a new member in the Big XII.

The Bounce House

The Bounce House, UCF’s home field since 2007, might be one of the youngest college football stadiums, but it’s got a reputation that’s hard to beat. Its unique design allows the stadium to quite literally bounce with the fans, leading ESPN to name it one of the top places to watch a college football game. Whether it’s the heart-stopping Hail Mary play to beat ECU in 2014, or the epic USF game in 2017, the Bounce House has hosted its share of unforgettable moments. From the Knight Walk to the final whistle, the energy here is pure electricity!
