Tailgating at Auburn is a celebration of community, tradition, and Southern hospitality. Fans begin setting up as early as Thursday, creating a sea of orange and blue. RVs, tents, grills, and TV screens transform the campus into a festival-like atmosphere.

Stadium History

Jordan-Hare Stadium, named in honor of Shug Jordan, Auburn’s winningest football coach, and Cliff Hare, a member of Auburn’s first football team, has been the Tigers’ home since 1939. With a seating capacity of over 87,000, it’s one of the largest stadiums in the Southeastern Conference. Expansions and renovations have preserved its historic charm while adding modern amenities. Notable games include the “Punt, Bama, Punt” game in 1972 and the previously mentioned “Kick Six” in 2013. When filled to capacity, the crowd’s roar is absolutely deafening, we can attest.
