Famous for its Horseshoe, the original campus, it’s a scenic place filled with history, elegance, and Southern charm. Gameday

Since their first season in 1892, the Gamecocks have been bringing the thunder to the field. Coaches like Joe Morrison, Lou Holtz, and Steve Spurrier have put their stamp on the program, and the fans just can’t get enough. Gamecock greats like George Rogers, who snagged the Heisman Trophy in 1980, and Jadeveon Clowney, a monster on the defensive line, have left indelible marks on the game.

Williams-Brice, this behemoth of a stadium has been the roost of the Gamecocks since 1934. With seating for over 80,000, it’s a place where legends are made, and the fans are just as fierce as the players. Who could forget the “Earthquake Game” against Clemson in 1977, when the crowd’s reaction registered on the Richter scale?
