Win the Weekend

Heading to Pittsburgh, PA for a gameday? Dive into our breakdown of what you should do for your upcoming trip.
“Here We Go Steelers…” The Steel City’s pride and joy were established in 1933 making them the oldest franchise in the AFC. Known for their hard-nosed, blue-collar ethos, they’ve racked up a record six Super Bowl titles, thanks to legends like Terry Bradshaw, Franco Harris, and Troy Polamalu. The Steelers’ iconic “Steel Curtain” defense of the 1970s helped establish a culture that is hard to top.

Gameday

Acrisure Stadium is electric and buzzing with the energy of Terrible Towel-waving fans. Located in downtown Pittsburgh on the waterfront, the stadium is accessible via scenic walks over the city’s iconic yellow bridges. Tailgating here is an art form, with fans grilling up Pittsburgh pierogies and crushing Primanti Bros sandwiches. The city sets up perfectly for game day with some incredible local bars nearby as you cross over the Ohio River.

Getting Started

Acrisure Stadium, opened in 2001, replacing the iconic Three Rivers Stadium as the home of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Situated on the North Shore of the Ohio River, the stadium is a testament to Pittsburgh’s rich football heritage. Notable events include the “Immaculate Extension” by Ben Roethlisberger and many memorable AFC Championship games. Acrisure is loving referred to as “The Ketchup Bottle” in homage to its original name, Heinz Field, and was featured in a chilling scene from Batman’s Dark Knight Rises.
