Heading to Arlington, TX for a gameday? Dive into our breakdown of what you should do for your upcoming trip.
There’s no way to start this section other than to echo Jimmy Johnson and his amazing hair, “How bout them Cowboys?!?” The Dallas Cowboys, aka “America’s Team,” are a legendary franchise with a history of Super Bowl wins and star-studded rosters. AT&T Stadium, their state-of-the-art home since 2009, is an architectural marvel known for its colossal retractable roof and massive HD video screen. Located in Arlington, Texas, this stadium isn’t just a place to watch football; it’s a jaw-dropping entertainment experience. The Cowboys have a legacy of iconic moments and star players like Roger Staubach, Emmitt Smith, and Troy Aikman. With a capacity of over 100,000, the energy here on game day is nothing short of electric. Want to experience the ultimate football pilgrimage? Visit AT&T Stadium, where you can witness the glitz, the glamour, and maybe even spot Jerry Jones himself. Grab your cowboy hat and head to Dallas – because there’s nothing like watching “America’s Team” deep in the heart of Texas.

Gameday

The Dallas Cowboys were established in 1960 as an NFL expansion team and quickly became one of the most successful and popular franchises in sports history. Under the leadership of coach Tom Landry, they made their first Super Bowl appearance in 1970 and won their first title in 1971. The Cowboys went on to claim five Super Bowl titles, with additional championships in 1977, 1992, 1993, and 1995, solidifying their reputation as “America’s Team.” Iconic players like Roger Staubach, Emmitt Smith, and Troy Aikman have donned the star, contributing to the team’s storied legacy. The 1990s dynasty, led (mostly) by coach Jimmy Johnson, is particularly legendary, with three Super Bowl victories in four years. The Cowboys’ success on the field has been matched by their marketing prowess, making them one of the most valuable sports franchises in the world.

The Stadium

Getting Started

AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys since 2009, is a modern marvel of engineering and design. Known for its massive retractable roof and the world’s largest HD video screen, the stadium can hold over 100,000 fans, providing an unparalleled game-day experience. Located in Arlington, Texas, AT&T Stadium is not just a football venue; it’s a premier entertainment complex hosting concerts, boxing matches, and even WrestleMania. The stadium features luxurious suites, a plethora of dining options, and interactive fan experiences that set it apart from any other NFL venue. One of the most iconic plays in AT&T Stadium history was Dez Bryant’s incredible catch (that was controversially ruled incomplete) in the 2014 NFC Divisional Playoff against the Green Bay Packers. Another unforgettable moment was Tony Romo’s last-minute touchdown pass to Jason Witten in 2010 against the Houston Texans, solidifying their rivalry. Before AT&T Stadium, the Cowboys played at Texas Stadium from 1971 to 2008, a venue famous for its iconic hole in the roof “so God can watch His team.” The transition to AT&T Stadium has allowed the Cowboys to carry forward their rich legacy while providing fans with an unparalleled modern football experience.
